About the Company:

Bicycle Bob’s opened their doors in Santa Barbara 31 years ago and have been voted “Best Bike Shop” by the Santa Barbara Independent almost every year since. They offer a large selection of mountain and road bikes, but what really sets them apart is their passion for cycling. Their staff is not only knowledgeable, they’re experts and they ride with their customers on a regular basis. In 2014, Bicycle Bob’s moved to a new and larger location in Goleta and turned to digital marketing to help share the word about their expansion.

Why ZeeBlu:

Bicycle Bob’s was already using digital marketing to stay in front of their loyal following, including on Facebook and with email newsletters. But they were eager to reach new customers and do more that would benefit the lifecycle of their customers by sharing expertise and support on a regular basis. They also had a unique story to share as a staple of Santa Barbara’s biking community which, along with their new space, could be best showcased with video. Together, Bicycle Bob’s and ZeeBlu decided to create a marketing strategy that encompassed email, video and search engine optimization.

Bicycle Bob’s three videos highlight their best qualities: their history, their customer compliments, and their community participation. Showcasing these throughout their website, social and email platforms has increased session durations and allowed the shop to share their story in the most natural way. Every customer now also receives timely follow-ups regarding their bike, allowing staff to rest easy knowing ongoing support and reminders are being sent. Who doesn’t want their 1 year anniversary with their bike? And with an added focus on their search rankings, Bicycle Bob’s has been able to stand out from competition and drive customers into their new doors by highlighting their product and service offerings.
