How to Find Success: It’s Not Complicated
…you gotta put in that work!
My fingers were caked in chalk and my shirt was dusted with the stuff, but now the chalkboard wall had something to say: “I never dreamed of success. I worked for it!” Well I’ve dreamt of success, and then I woke up and I was good ol’ me again in my cramped apartment with a broken heater. I’m not complaining, not at all…but seriously if you know a heater guy let me know. The truth is that success doesn’t just appear, you can’t dream it into reality; success is the product of passion and dedication.
Early every morning, clanking and clacking can be heard from the open garage of the auto repair shop around the corner, and when I leave for home that garage is still singing “I never dreamed of success. I worked for it!”
Success has never sought anyone out for a coffee date. The world just doesn’t work like that. The world rewards people like Mr. Mechanic who work hard and still rock a smile at the end of each day. That’s success fifteen years in the making. Fifteen years! And he’s not done. That auto repair shop will be banging out metallic beats for decades, I’m sure. Can you say that you’ve made such a grand commitment in life?
The realization that success is not an overnight phenomenon is tough to stomach, but that’s the truth of it. Nothing just happens; you’ve got to make moves, and the first step is to start. Just start! Go for it you dreamer! I know you love sleeping, and playing with your cat, or maybe that’s just me…but whatever your time-sucks are, whatever your vices are, tell them to go shove it! You’ve got business to take care of. You’ve got some success to create.
